These two tables cover absolutely every Powerful and Pinnacle gear source in Destiny 2. These are all the activities in the game that reward Pinnacle-level gear (needed to go reach the Pinnacle cap): Unlike most MMOs, you can only increase your Power Level by finding higher-level gear. Lists updated as of Bungie’s 30th Anniversary event. This means you’ll need Powerful drops to reach the Powerful cap set to 1320 and Pinnacle drops to reach the elusive Max Power Level in Destiny 2, the Pinnacle Cap now set to 1330. With Season of the Lost (Season 15), the max Power level was increased by 10 points. Yet, every new season comes with a new Power Level cap. Our 2022 Beginner’s Guide covers all the other D2 cornerstones, including XP farming, but Power Levels should remain a top priority. Needless to say, Power Leveling is an essential part of the Destiny 2 experience, allowing you to tackle endgame activities. Armor and UI abilities can also be upgraded but it takes a while before you unlock something truly useful.In Destiny 2, your Guardian’s Power Level is the average level of all its equipable gear and dictates how much damage you can inflict to enemies and take before dying. You can also upgrade your shock gun and make it fire different kinds of electricity. This makes destroying robots more effective but shocking them is still the ideal solution. You can get modifications for your main gun and turn it into a shotgun or an RPG. When you collect enough currency, you can visit one of the game’s upgrade stations and get some new toys to play with. They usually aren’t hidden too well, but if you played games like Quake or Unreal, you’ll be delighted by this mechanic. It’s incredibly fun to go looking for them. Each level will have a ton of secrets that will usually award you with some in-game currency. Sure, most shooters will have some sort of collectables but not secrets.
